RecipesSwitchel Posted on July 29, 2016July 31, 2019 by Ray Lewis This is our version of an old timey favorite. Switchel was traditionally drank by farmers during haying to quench their thirst. It is the original sports drink. Ingredients 1 quart cold water 1 tsp fresh ginger, peeled and grated 1/4 cup maple sugar 1/2 cup cider vinegar Preparation Bring water and ginger to a boil.
